Time: 7:38
Temperature: 50 degrees
Weather Conditions: few clouds in the sky, sun just setting
Wind: no wind
Soil Conditions: very moist, grass is turning green
From my last observation alot has changed in this area. The grass has turned green and our flowers are starting to bloom. There is a robins nest in the corner of our porch in which the baby robins haven't quite hatched yet, but hopeully will soon. When the Robins hatch it will be interesting to see them adapt to the basic survival needs. There hasn't been very many interactions between organisms yet except there has been populations of animals coming in and out. There is definatly a noticeable change in biodiversity from my first observation. There has been some symbiotic relationships between the Mallard Ducks and misquitos. The misquitos go to the pond for water which they benefit but then the ducks eat them which makes the misquitos a reliable food source. The soil is getting alot of moisture from the snow melting so that is allowing for flowers to start to bloom. Once the flowers bloom the bees will start coming out to pollinate them which will create more biodiversity in this area.
